By default, designs in Flexitive have a Transparent background. If the background is left as Transparent, any time the background of the canvas is displayed on a site, the background will be the same colour as the site the design is displayed on.
If you do not want the background of your design to be transparent, you can set the background either as a solid colour or an image.
Change the Background to a Colour
To change the background layer of your design to a colour, scroll to the bottom of the Layers Panel to where the ‘Background Color’ layer is.
On the Background Color layer, there is a box labelled with the instructions 'Click to Change Color'. Clicking the box will open the Flexitive Colour Picker and allow you to set the background colour for your canvas.
Select your colour and click 'choose' in the colour picker. The background of your design will change to the selected colour. After the colour of the canvas is changed, the box for selecting the colour of the canvas will also change to the selected colour.
Change the Background to an Image
To change the background layer of your design to an image, scroll to the ‘Background Image’ layer of the Layers Panel.
On the Background Image layer, there is a box labelled with the instructions ‘Drag a layer here to set it as a background image'. Clicking the box will open the Assets Panel and allow you to set the background image for your canvas.
Select your image and click the ‘+’ icon to the right of the image. The background image of your design will change to the selected image.
You can also change the background image of the canvas by dragging a layer from the Layers Panel into the Background Image layer.
