After finalizing the data feed for your Automated Variation designs, the next step is to upload the feed to Flexitive. 


You can upload data feeds as a file or from a URL, either from the Admin panel or the Dynamic Text/Image Settings panel.


Uploading a New Local File


You can upload CSV, and XLSX files to Flexitive to be used as data feeds. 



Upload a Data Feed File from the Dynamic Image/Text Settings Panel


To upload a Data Feed file from the Dynamic Image/Text Settings Panel: 

  • Select the element you would like to make dynamic and open the Image/Text Settings panel
  • Scroll to the Data Source Elements option and toggle Dynamic Design Image/Text ON
  • Scroll to the top of the panel to the Connect to Data Feed section and select Manage Feeds


  • In the ‘Upload Data Feed for Automated Variations’ modal, select the Upload Local File button 
  • In the next modal, select the Upload button and choose the file you’d like to use
  • Once your feed is selected, click the Next button, enter a name for your data feed, and select the Submit button. 

A green banner will appear on the top of your Admin panel to confirm the feed was uploaded successfully and is added to the list of feeds in your Data Feeds tab.



Upload a Data Feed File from the Admin Panel 


To upload a Data Feed file from the Admin Panel: 


  • Select the Admin button at the top-right of your Flexitive instance
     
  • In the Admin Panel, select the Datafeeds tab



  • In the Datafeeds tab, select the Upload Local File button 
  • In the next modal, select the Upload button and choose the file you’d like to use 
  • Once your feed is selected, click the Next button, enter a name for your data feed, and select the Submit button.



A green banner will appear on the top of your Admin panel to confirm the feed was uploaded successfully and is added to the list of feeds in your Data Feeds tab.



Upload a Data Feed From a URL


If you have created your data feed on Google Sheets, you can provide a URL link to your data feed, rather than uploading a CSV or XLSX file. To upload a data feed from a Google Sheet URL, set your Google Sheet to publicly shared.

You can upload a new data feed from a URL from the Dynamic Image/Text Settings panel or the Admin Panel. 



Upload URL from Dynamic Image/Text Settings Panel


To upload a Data Feed URL from the Dynamic Image/Text Settings Panel:

  • Select the image or text element you would like to make dynamic and open the Image/Text Settings panel
  • Scroll to the Data Source Elements option and toggle ‘Dynamic Design Image/Text’ ON
  • Scroll to the top of the panel to the ‘Connect to Data Feed’ section and select Manage Feeds



  • Next, select the Upload Data Feed From URL button



  • Enter the feed URL in the Enter URL field and click Next



  • The name for your data feed will be auto-populated using the feed name. You can edit this name if needed, then select the Submit button.


A green banner will appear on the top of your Admin panel to confirm the feed was added successfully and was added to the list of feeds in your Data Feeds tab.



Upload URL from Admin Panel


To upload a Data Feed URL from the Admin Panel:

  • Select the Admin button at the top-right of your Flexitive instance



  • In the Admin Panel, select the Datafeeds tab


  • In the DataFeeds tab, select the Upload Data Feed from URL button
  • In the next modal, paste in the URL for the feed you’d like to use and select the Next button
  • The feed name is set using the name of the URL feed. You can edit the name in the ‘Please Name Your Data Feed’ field. Once set, select the Submit button.




A green banner will appear on the top of your Admin panel to confirm the feed was added successfully and was added to the list of feeds in your Data Feeds tab.
